John Robert „Joe“ Cocker OBE (* 20. Mai 1944 in Sheffield, Yorkshire; † 22. Dezember 2014 in Crawford, Colorado) war ein britischer Rock- und Blues-Sänger.

Joe Cocker wuchs in seinem Geburtsort Sheffield auf. Von Beruf her gelernter Gasinstallateur, begann er seine Musikerkarriere im Alter von 15 Jahren in mehreren kleineren Bands in seiner Heimatstadt Sheffield. Seine erste Band war Vance Arnold and the Avengers (sein Künstlername war Vance Arnold), die immerhin einen Auftritt der The Rolling Stones eröffnete. Read more on Last.fm
